Iraqis Are Ingrates

On August 21, 2006, Jacob G. Hornberger of The Future Freedom Foundation wrote a blog in regards to the Iraqi People's response to the U.S. involvement in their country. While dripping with inordinate amounts of sarcasm, the article really provides no new arguments about why the Iraqi's such disdain for Americans. It covers WMDs (and how the U.S. gave them to Saddam); how we inspired dissidents to revolt against Saddam in the Gulf War; compaired it all to WWII; mentioned the horrors at Abu Ghraib, shed light upon the sectarian violence, how we are trying to help them will giving financial and military aid to their enemy (Israel); and how the U.S. supported Osama in fighting the Soviets.
If you found that a daunting read, you should've read the article. Frankly, that's all it offers up, no explanations for any of these, just "And you know what!?" followed by a sarcastic quip. Finishing off with a bit of good-old Johnson/Vietnam bashing.
Mind you, I'm not in support of the war in Iraq, but, like Vietnam in Johnson's presidency, we're there, and we just gotta make the best of it. From the article, I'm only opposed to Hornberger's lack of creativity in his rant. If he'd bring in some new information, this could have been an interesting read. Alas, he did not, and it is not. For shame.
